Inez Armintia Koenig

Inez Armintia Koenig, 89 of Loveland, passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024. 

She was born March 30, 1934 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Harrison and Iva (Tryon) Grahame, and stepfather, Raymond Beswetherick.

Originally from Livonia, Mich., Inez and her husband, John (Jack), moved to Hillsboro, where they raised their six children.

Inez worked at the Knit Mill store and later at Farmers and Traders Bank as a teller (affectionately known as Minnie). She was a loyal parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, roller skating and singing in the Sweet Adelines. Inez also made rosaries for the missions. She received her associate degree in accounting from Southern State Community College.  

Inez is survived by six children, John (Melissa) Koenig of Ann Arbor, Mich., Michael (Ascencion) Koenig
of Paducah, Ky., Suzanne (William) Roasa of Saginaw, Mich., Cynthia (Todd) Holbrook of Kettering, Mark Koenig of Milford and David Koenig of Loveland; 12 grandchildren, Isaac Koenig, Daniel Koenig, Jeremy
(Melissa) Ruaya, Lendl (Megan) Ruaya, Caroline Koenig, Julianne Koenig, Chad Roasa, Stephanie Roasa, Tyler (Annah) Roasa, AlyssaJudith Roasa, Sarah (Andrew) Karr and Ryan Kenney; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Alma Stephens; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by her husband, John Francis Koenig, who passed away on April 4, 1971; and her siblings, Thomas Grahame, William Beswetherick and Darlene Chebatoris. 

Visitation will be 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. at St Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. 

Donations may be made in her name to St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Sunday, May 26 on Memorial Day at 1 p.m., there will be a celebration of life at John and Melissa's home in Ann Arbor for all out-of-state relatives unable to attend the Hillsboro services.
