Hugh Ronald 'Butch' Kinzer

Hugh Ronald “Butch” Kinzer, 82, of Bainbridge, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 12, 1940 in Leesburg, the son of the late Theodore and Julia (Campbell) Kinzer.

Hugh graduated from London High School in 1958. He retired in 2002 from Steelox Systems, Inc., formerly Armco, in Washington CH after 36 years. He also was also engaged in farming most of his life and enjoyed it so much. He was a lovely husband and father. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren and great-granddaughters.

Hugh attended the Bainbridge United Methodist Church. He was a Past Master of Greenfield Masonic Lodge 318, a member of the F&AM 196 of Bainbridge, member of RAM #40, member of Commandery #31, a Past Patron of OES #441 of Hillsboro and member of R&SM #4 of Chillicothe.

On May 31, 1961 he married his wife of nearly 62 years, Mary Louise Drummond, who survives.

Hugh is also survived by his children, Ronald D. Kinzer and Lisa (Tony) Southern; grandchildren, Ronald D. (Brittany) Kinzer Jr., Kendra (Wade) Barnette and Courtney Davis; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Kinzer and Kayleigh Barnette; and a sister, Linda Robison.

In addition to his parents, Hugh was preceded in death by his siblings, Carol, Mary, John, Mildred, Wayne, Yvonne, Eugene, Frank and Robert.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Bainbridge Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Barnhart officiating. No calling hours will be observed. The Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
