Helen M. Rankin, 82, of Lynchburg, died Friday afternoon, September 25, 2009 at the Highland District Hospital. 
She was born November 27, 1926 in Highland County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Orville and Merle Cramton Prickett. 
Mrs. Rankin worked for the Randal Company in Wilmington, Ohio for several years. 
She is survived by two cousins, Bob and Donna Hastings of Marco Island, Florida and Don and Carolyn Hastings of Lynchburg; five sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Gaffin of Gilbert, Arizona, Wilma Rankin of Georgetown, Betty Rankin of Blanchester, Sharon Rankin of Hillsboro, and Marge Rankin of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces an nephews. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Rankin on June 23, 1996, and one infant brother. 
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 29th at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Rev. Robert Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
