Helen Louise Hutchinson Harvey

Helen Louise Hutchinson Harvey, 89, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024.

She was born May 13, 1935 at home in Vinton County, the daughter of Charles Victor Hutchinson and Emma Mildred (Beech) Hutchinson.

She was a longtime member of the Hillsboro Church of God. She lived a full life and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be long remembered for her beautiful red hair that she passed down to all generations.

Helen is survived by her son, Steven M. Harvey (Robin Devault); daughters, Kathy S. (Richard) Clevinger and Rita L. (Mark) Glasper; brothers, Mike and David Hutchinson; sister, Norma Jean Miller; grandchildren, Angela L. Anderson, Melissa Price, Michael Harvey and Austin Glasper; great-grandchildren, Kelton T. Anderson, Owen Price, Jordyn Price, Landon Harvey and Brennan Harvey; great-great-grandchildren, Adelynn and Avery Anderson; and good friends, Marsha Greer Harvey and Shirley Cartwright.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Eugene Hutchinson; sister, Donna Kaye Hutchinson Wall; husband, William B. Harvey; and son, William "Billy" E. Harvey.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from noon until the time of services at the Thompson Funeral Home.
