Harvey S. Martin

Harvey S. Martin, 89, of Bainbridge, passed peacefully at home Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, following a short journey with leukemia. 

Born Dec. 29, 1936, in Ephrata, Pa., son of the late Raymond and Katie S. Martin.
 
He was the husband of Sally S. Brubacher. Harvey was a member of the Stauffer Mennonite Church. He was a retired farmer and self-employed carriage maker.

Surviving are spouse Sally S. Martin; 11 children, Ivan M. (Susan) New Holland, Pa., Wayne M. Hutchinson, Kan., Lois (Joel Stauffer) Bainbridge, Minerva (Fred Zimmerman) Breckenridge, Mo., Edward M. (Fay) of Ephrata, Pa., Luke M. (Dawn) Bainbridge, Lucinda (Leon Martin) New Holland, Pa., Harvey M. (Lorraine) Bainbridge, John Mark M. (Marie) Bainbridge, Rosanna (Shawn Stauffer) Mechanicsville, Md. and Alverta (Jerome Horst) Breckenridge, Mo.; 61 grandchildren; 113 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Sadie (late Daniel Wanner); sisters-in-law Edith (Late Benjamin M.) and Leah (late Daniel M.).
 
Harvey was previously married to Barbara M. Martin, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him, a stillborn son Jason; granddaughter Eileen; four infant grandchildren; three brothers Benjamin M., Raymond M., and Daniel M.; sister-in-law Edna M. and two infant siblings.

Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 30, at John Mark Martin Residence, 4636 St. Rt. 41 South, Bainbridge, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 pm. Funeral services and interment at the Stauffer Mennonite Church on Brier Road, Bainbridge, at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, 2026. Kindly omit flowers.
