Harold Cecil Anderson

Harold Cecil Anderson, 84, of Byington, passed away Feb. 23, 2025.

He was born Nov. 24, 1940, the son of the late Cecil and Flora (Thurman) Anderson.

Harold was a man of many talents; he worked as a laborer and was affectionately known in the family as "Mr. Fix-It." He worked as a mechanic for Bob Jordan for many years and worked at the Latham Stone Quarry. He had a real love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting deer, fox and rabbit. Family was everything to him, and his grandchildren will forever remember him for his warmth, wisdom and the wonderful stories he shared.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Mary (Hannah) Anderson, whom he married March 4, 1963; his son, Carlos (Mary) Knisely; daughters, Debbie (John) Sperlow and Donna (Richard) Knisley; grandchildren, Johnathon Sperlow, Davena (Andrew) Risner, Brandon (Kiana) Anderson, Jacob Knisley and Amy Knisley; great-grandchildren, Kadin Lowman, Zander Lowman, Brynlei Anderson, Wyatt Risner, Noah Risner, Gabriel Risner and Sophia Risner; a sister, Judy Gardner; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Vernon Anderson; and sisters, Lucille Pollitt, Lilly Gilmore, Linda Anderson, Ruth Adkins, Mary Reno and Ruby Royster.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Latham Church of God, 6008 S.R. 124, Latham. Burial will follow in the Washburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
