Gary Main

Gary Main, 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Medina, Tenn., with his wife of 50 years at his side.

Gary was born March 17, 1948, in Hillsboro and lived in the community of Marshall for 65 years before relocating to Tennessee to be close to his son, Chris, and his family (Shelly, Hayden and Chase).

Early in life, he worked with his father and was self-employed. Eventually, he retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. After retirement, he enjoyed winters in Florida with his wife and friends and summers in Tennessee with his son and family. Gary’s favorite hobby was spending time with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, LaDonna Hilterbran Main; son, Christopher Main (Shelly) of Medina, Tenn.; grandsons, Christopher Hayden Main and Chase Henry Main of Medina, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Carey Glenn Hilterbran (Shirley) of Sabina; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.H. Main and Sara Margaret (Kesler) Main; sister, Joyce Patton; brother-in-law, Robert Patton; father-in-law, Carey Hilterbran; and mother-in-law, Gladys Hilterbran.

Gary will return to his beloved community of Marshall in Ohio for a celebration of life service and burial at a later date.

LaDonna and Family, I was very sorry to read of your loss. I will always remember Gary as a nice young man when we were in school. And a true soft spoken gentleman as an adult. May God give you strength.
