Gary Eugene Grubbs, 69, of Edmond, Oklahoma, formerly of Greenfield, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was born June 17, 1940 in Greenfield, Ohio, the sun of the late James William Grubbs and Juanita Marie (Bennett) Grubbs.
He was a material supervisor at General Motors in Norwood, Ohio, then at Oklahoma City, Okla., where he retired after more than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Esther (Free) Grubbs, whom he married November 27, 1958; two sons, Mark Grubbs of Greenfield and Scott (Crystal) Grubbs of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Tracy Grubbs, Hope Grubbs, and Melissa (Steve) Kenney, all of Edmond, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jake Grubbs, McKenzie Grubbs, Katy Grubbs, Kaden Grubbs, and Benjamin Kenney; and one brother, Ronald Edward (Betty) Grubbs, of Greenfield.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield with Rev. Clint Tolbert officiating. A visitation is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 13. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
