Garland Dale Kendall

Garland Dale Kendall, 80, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital.

He was born Nov. 9, 1942 in Highland County, the son of the late Ora Garland and Ernestine Baldwin Kendall.

Dale worked many jobs over the years, but his favorite was always farming. He liked collecting antique tractors, drinking coffee and socializing at McDonald’s and spending time with friends at the stockyard sale. Dale also liked raising cattle. In the past, he attended the Hillsboro Church of Christ and most recently Church of Christ Hollowtown.

Dale is survived by his wife, Joan McConnaughey Kendall; daughters, Molly (Keith) Stevens and Holly (James) Heiser, both of Hillsboro; grandson, Titus Heiser; step-granddaughter, MacKenzie (Chandler) Dawson; step-great-grandson, Jaxon Dawson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry McConnaughey of Hillsboro, Carmean Williams of Missouri, Tim McConnaughey of Washington Court House and Steve McConnaughey of Hillsboro; and close friends, Robert and Paula Kiser of Hillsboro.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon at Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Bob Cockrell will officiate. Burial will follow at New Market Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made in Dale’s name to Church of Christ Hollowtown, 2630 Hollowtown Rd., Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
