Fred Allan Dumford

Fred Allan Dumford, 67, of Mt. Orab, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 12, 2023.

He was born Dec. 7, 1956 in Clinton County, the son of the late Fred and Wanda Spaeth Dumford.

Allan loved to work on things and restore old tractors. He worked as a farmer and at Mayer Farm Equipment as the parts manager and a salesman.

Allan is survived by his wife, Judy Myers Dumford, whom he married on Oct. 1, 1983; his son, Jason (Jordan) Dumford of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Abbi Yarber, who has resided with him since 2009, Morgan and Riley Dumford of Wilmington, Mia and Rowen Dumford of Lynchburg, and one on the way; and sisters, Lisa Johnson and Linda Mitchell.

In addition to his parents, Allan was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Stegbauer Dumford; daughter, Susan Dumford; brother, David Dumford; and nephews, Danny Allen and John Mitchell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Burial will follow at Buford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Davis-Turner Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
