Ethel M. Carroll

Ethel M. Carroll, 91, of Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024 at Pickaway Manor, Circleville.

She was born March 7, 1933 in Ross County, a daughter of the late Raymond Walls and Opal Ater Alexander.

Ethel was a 1951 graduate of Clarksburg High School, where she was top of her class. She enjoyed gardening and loved cats.

On July 28, 1951, she married Jesse E. Carroll, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 2014.
 
She is survived by her four children, Carolyn (Michael) Gibson of Chillicothe, Bonnie Wilson of Chillicothe, Danny Carroll of Circleville and Shawna Carroll of Columbus; one son-in-law, Robert Forcum of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Bryan Gibson, Jason Gibson, Aaron Forcum, Amanda Forcum, Justin Carroll and Matthew Carroll; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Davis of West Virginia; and a special friend, Kris Doyle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Kathy Forcum; one daughter-in-law, Diana Carroll; one son-in-law, John Wilson; one sister, Cordelia Shull; one brother, Kenneth Walls; and two half-brothers, Earl Alexander and Harold Alexander.
 
A funeral service for Ethel will be held Monday, Oct. 21, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends are invited to gather Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
