Eloise Otey, 90, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009. She was born Sept. 1, 1918 in Montgomery, W.Va. She was married to Thomas Roscoe Otey in 1935. She was retired from the CIA in Washington, D.C. Upon retirement, she resided on St. Simons Island, Ga.; Las Vegas, Nev., and Hillsboro. Survivors include two sons, Thomas R. (MaKinsey) Otey, of Rhode Island, and John S. Otey, of Hillsboro; two daughters, Judith A. Chafin, of Clermont, Fla., and Linda K. (Ted) Graf of Saipan, Guam; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Roscoe Otey; a grandchild, Kathy Lynn Chafin; four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Community Care Hospice, P.O. Box 123, Wilmington, Ohio 45133.
