Elmer A. Hockstok, 89, of Mowrystown, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center, Hospice of Hope Unit. He was born Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1919 in Clermont County, Ohio, Son of the late John Hockstok and Callie Jones Hockstok. He was a member of Sardinia Masonic Lodge #124 F&AM, Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite, and was a Life member of the Hillsboro VFW. He had worked for Ford Motor Company at the Fairfax plant. Surviving are: one son, Robert (Jeri) Hockstok of Columbus; three daughters, Jackie Colwell of Eastgate, Connie (Rick) Larrick of Hillsboro, and Becca (Jim) Allen of Mowrystown; one sister, Marie Bayer of Batavia; 10 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dalton Hockstok; two brothers, Carl and Robert Hockstok; and two sisters, Virginia Sanford and Shirley Fisher. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown. Masonic and Scottish Rite Ring Services will be held at 7:45 p.m. Graveside services will be held Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Roberts Cemetery, Taylorsville, with Pastor Kevin Hamilton officiating. The Highland County Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Memorials may be madce to Sardinia Masonic Lodge, Hospice of Hope, Sardinia Church of Christ, Lymphoma Society.
