Ellamae Purdin

Ellamae Purdin, 83, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
 
She was born Dec. 3, 1940 in Pike County, the daughter of King and Opal (Mitchell) Vince.
 
She was a 1958 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School.
 
She retired from Candle-lite of Leesburg after 47 years of employment in payroll and personnel management.
 
She is survived by one son, Gary (Cindy) Purdin of Hillsboro; one daughter, Sharon Binegar of Greenfield; two grandchildren, Michael (Delana) Taylor and Cindy (Adam) Mitzel; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Reed of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Patricia Fulmer of Greenfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Purdin, on Nov. 10, 2023; two sisters, Jean Howland and Margie Baird; one son-in-law, Darrell Binegar; and both parents.  
 
Cremation will take place, and there will not be a service observed.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
