Elizabeth Frye

Elizabeth Frye, 98, of Hillsboro, formerly of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing Facility of Hillsboro.
 
She was born Nov. 30, 1924 in Greenfield, the daughter of Walter and Clara (Chambliss) Roambaugh.
 
She was a 1942 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and a homemaker. She had attended many different churches with her husband and served as a Sunday school teacher and elder.
 
She is survived by one daughter, Patty (Jim) Thompson of Leesburg.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Rufus Frye, on Oct. 6, 1997; one son, Donald Larry Frye; two sisters, Mildred Bush and Helen Roambaugh; and both parents.
 
Graveside service will be Thursday, April 20 at 10 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg with Rev. Roger Newkirk officiating.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
