Edgar Lee Binegar
Edgar Lee Binegar, 90, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born on July 14, 1936, in Fayette County, the son of Charles Milton and Elva (Belles) Binegar.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of F&AM 196 of Bainbridge and American Legion Post 14 of Bainbridge. He was an avid crappie fisherman and loved spending time in his boat.
He retired from Highland County Community Action Organization in 1992 where he served as the housing director.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Haynes) Binegar, whom he married on Dec. 26, 1955; one son, Gary (Mandy) Binegar of Greenfield; two daughters, Beverley (Joe) Posey of Greenfield and Marsha (John) Oyer of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Matthew (Ellen) Binegar, Lindsay (Heath) McNeal, Andrea (Scott) Michael, Jarrod (Tiffany) Posey, Hannah Oyer and Brad Binegar; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dave (Charlene) Binegar of Bainbridge; one sister, Kathleen Slater Bowling of Washington C.H.; one sister-in-law, Saundra Binegar of Tucson, Ariz.; special friend, Fred Myers of Greenfield; numerous nieces and nephews, and his special pet of many years, Skippy.
He was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Binegar; two brothers, Paul Binegar and Robert Binegar; three sisters, Florabelle Ives Hutchins, Charlotte Sampson and Eleanor Ruth Binegar in infancy; and both parents.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17 at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Roger Newkirk officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Cemetery near New Martinsburg with military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
