Earl Gulley
Earl Gulley, 57, passed away Feb. 24, 2025.
He was born Oct. 30, 1967 in Greenfield to the late David and Pamela (Case) Gulley.
Earl lived a life filled with passion, creativity and a deep love for his family and friends. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and skilled carpenter. Earl poured his heart into his work as a carpenter, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by those who knew him. He found joy in riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Earl's adventurous spirit was matched only by his dedication to his family. A veteran of the Army, Earl served his country with honor and pride. He attended Good News Gathering, where he formed lasting connections and found a community that reflected his values of love, kindness and service.
Earl's exuberance for life, infectious laughter, and compassionate heart left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was not just a carpenter or a motorcycle enthusiast; he was a beacon of love and strength for his family, embracing every moment with joy and gratitude.
He was a proud father to his son, Eric (Rachel) Gulley; his daughter, Rachael (Alex) Fannin; grandfather to his beloved grandchildren, Dax, Lilly, Theo and Cecilia. He also leaves behind his brother, Kenny (Trang) Gulley; uncle, Keith (Patsy) Dick; aunt, Dee (George) Hike; mother-in-law, Margaret Malicote; father-in-law, John (Shellie) Williamson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Erin and Danny Bales, Adam (Sondi) Williamson and Andy (Lindsey) Williamson; niece and nephew, Jenny and Jeremy; step-grandfather, Larry Dick; and a host of friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jody Gulley on Jan. 27, 2017; and grandmother, Betty Dick.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow with military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard at Hightop Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the funeral home.
