Douglas Medley

Douglas Medley, 70, of Midland, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery. 

He was born May 17, 1954 in Harveysburg, the son of the late Orville and Ida Alma (Ross) Medley.

On Jan. 15, 1977, he was united in marriage to Leah Mae Reed.

Douglas was a member of Tabernacle of Mercy Midland/Westboro. He loved to hunt and fish, but mostly loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his loving wife, Leah Medley; son, Don (Kelly) Medley of Midland; three grandchildren, Cheyanne (Austin) Mountjoy, Olivia Medley and Ruger Medley; step-grandson, Dylan Jones; three great-grandchildren, Novalynn Mountjoy, Liam Mountjoy and Zannaleigh Jones; brother, Bill Medley of Wilmington; sister, Marilynn Willis of Wilmington; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie "Tiny" Douglas Medley; sister, Roxie Leyes; and a brother, Curtis Medley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, with Pastor Drake and Sis. Emily Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
