Donna Mae West

Donna Mae West, 77, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Thursday July 4, 2024 at the Hospice of Dayton.

She was born May 28, 1947 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Whitson) Snyder.

Donna was a homemaker who loved being a mother and raising her four children. She was a member of the Greater Life Assembly in Hillsboro and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Donna is survived by four children, Jane (Rick Smith) North of Canal Winchester, Patricia (Charles) Murphy of Wilmington, James (Dawn) Welch of Wilmington and Amanda West of Wilmington; eight grandchildren, Shaun North, Sonya Hartsell, India Murphy, Latasha Murphy, Adam Welch, Jayla Welch, Madison Welch and Connor Menke; eight great-grandchildren, Jenna North, Carson North, Cody Hartsell, Brittanie Andrews, Bryant Murphy, Ayden Murphy, Liam Knisley and Jillian Miller; a great-great-grandson, Oliver Hartsell; three siblings, Frank (Carol) Snyder, Fred (Kay) Snyder and Robert Snyder; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon C. West, on April 1, 2011; and a grandson, William Welch on July 5, 2000.

Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
