Donald Lee Damron, 85, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2024 at Crestwood Nursing & Rehabilitation.

He very much enjoyed activities such as playing golf, fishing and electronics, and was known for his love of family and friends.

Donald is survived by his wife of 33 years, Daisy Faye Damron; a brother, Larry Damron of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Nancy Louise Francis of Wilmington and Mary Schotts of Harveysburg; a stepdaughter, Tiffany Newsom Vadnais of Hillsboro; a stepson, Todd Newsom (Sandy) of Temple, Ga.; and grandsonss Lance, Cameron and Colton Vadnais; Lucas and Kaycee Newsom; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Elizabeth; his father, Leslie Eugene; his sisters Barbara Joanne Storer; and a brother, Phillip Allan Damron.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Donations may be sent to Crestwood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hillsboro.
