Donald Branscome, 67, of Greenup, Ky., died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born in Peebles on Sept. 18, 1941, the son of the late Walker and Fannie (Moon) Branscome. He was a member of the Dayton Sheet Metal Workers Local #24, Am Vets of Greenup Post #95, and the Ashland Eagles Aerie #2329. He is survived by his wife Clara (Patton) Branscome of Greenup, Ky., whom he married on Aug. 3, 1994, son Mark Branscome of Peebles, son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Michelle Branscome of Hillsboro, stepdaughters Tammy Patton of Boyd County, Ky. & Dana Qualls of Flatwoods, Ky., two stepsons; Nick Patton, & James Patton, both of Flatwoods, Ky., two brothers; Keith Branscome of Peebles and Bob Branscome of Wrightsville, and two grandchildren; Alex and Allie Branscome. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Tim French officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
