Don W. Dawson

Don W. Dawson, 91, of Washington C.H., passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024 at his home.

He was born Nov. 14, 1932 in Ross County, a son of the late Marion B. and Ellen Zurmehly Dawson.

Don married the former Norma J. McQuiniff on Nov. 21, 1951, and they shared life together for 72 years.    
 
Don was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was a lifelong farmer.

Don is survived by his wife, Norma; their five children, Lee Dawson of Washington C.H., Karen (Carey) Maddux of Clarksburg, Jill (Val) Skinner of Williamsport, Tim Dawson of Washington C.H. and Guy Dawson of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Kara Justice, Todd Maddux, Abby Patterson and Guy W. Skinner; five great-grandchildren, Livia and Lincoln Patterson, Dawson Justice and Owen and Myah Maddux; and two brothers, Byron (Marilyn) Dawson of Greenfield and Carlon “Cappy” (Mildred) Dawson of Washington C.H.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Marion Dawson. 
 
Family and friends are asked to attend a graveside service Friday, Sept. 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. No calling hours will be held. The Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort is serving the family.
