David J. Douglas

David J. Douglas, 59, of the Marshall community, passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2024. 

He was born Aug. 31, 1964 in Chillicothe, the son of John Richard and Anna (Musser) Douglas.  

He was a 1982 graduate of Hillsboro High School. He also earned degrees from SSCC and Wilmington College. For over 38 years, he enjoyed a career in the auction and real estate business. David was a member of Highland Lodge 38 and Lynchburg Masonic Lodge 178, Hillsboro Chapter 40, Hillsboro Council 16, Highland Commandery 31, The Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite and North Pole Lodge 1. He was always a proud supporter of Highland County FFA and 4-H programs, and the youths of the Highland County Junior Fair.  

He is survived by his parents; his wife Kimberly; his son, Graham, of Hillsboro; his daughter, Kylie, of Charlotte, N.C.; his sister, Darlene Teague of Hillsboro; and a special favorite aunt, Jean Johnson, also of Hillsboro. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins.  

David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Noble and Olive Douglas; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Musser; uncles, John and Ronnie Musser and Chester G. Douglas; and an aunt, Vera Grove.  

In keeping with his wishes, David was cremated. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday June 26 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Masonic services will begin at 8 p.m.  Memorials may be made to SATH/KAMP Dovetail, C/O Linda Allen, 5350 W. New Market Road, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
