Daniel 'Danny' Richard Lake

Daniel “Danny” Richard Lake, 67, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2023 at his home.

He was born Jan. 28, 1956 in Dayton, the son of the late Hugh and Marjorie May Hamilton Lake.

Danny was proud to be a third-generation painter. He was a great father who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and going boating. Danny also liked to travel. He also very much enjoyed celebrating with family and friends.

He is survived by his fiancée, Tina Kirkhart of Hillsboro; children, Stephen (Haley) Lake of Peebles, Heather (Brian) Stone of North Dakota, Tabby Kirkhart of Hillsboro and Brittany Kirkhart of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Tabitha, Samantha, Garrett, Grace, Ava, Landon, Kash, Allanis and Heavenly; great-grandchildren, Hirum and Lurelle (Lue Lue); brother, Hugh Lake of Dayton; six nieces and nephews; and many extended nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sandra Drake, Linda Rooks, Richard Lake, Johnny Lake and Firman Lake.

Danny will be cremated, with services to take place later in the spring.
