D. Sue Johnson, 63 of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 at Highland District Hospital.  

She was born Oct. 13, 1961 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Henry and Loretta (Goins) Nickley.  

She is survived by her children, Nicole (James) and Rick; several grandchildren; siblings Robbie, Jack, Geri, Bobbie, Tommy and Brenda; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd “Buster” Johnson, who passed away Dec. 7, 2021.   

Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
