Cynthia Kay Cockerill

Cynthia Kay Cockerill, 73, of Washington C.H., passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
 
She was born March 16, 1951 in Fayette County, the daughter of Edwin and Patricia Ann (Miller) Cockerill.
 
She was a 1969 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and attended the East Monroe House of Worship.
 
She retired as a hospice nurse and was previously a principal/superintendent secretary at GEVS.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Kay (Bryan) Adkins; two step-granddaughters, Mylah and Victoria Adkins; two sisters, Sherri Beatty of Greenfield and Mila (Chuck) Weller of Greenfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
She was preceded in death by one nephew, Josh Lewis; one brother-in-law, Tim Beatty; and both parents, among other family members.
 
Funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Rich Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be prior to the funeral Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
