Clara Jean Mullikin

Clara Jean Mullikin, 89, of Bainbridge, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Court House Manor in Washington C.H.
 
She was born Nov. 19, 1933 in Fayette County, the daughter of John and Susie (Howland) Butcher.
 
Clara Jean was a 1951 graduate of Good Hope High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching and reading.
 
She is survived by one daughter, Janis L. (Russell) Lewis of Sabina; one son, Roger (Joy) Mullikin of Bainbridge; one grandson, Shawn (Shannon) Lewis of Sabina; three granddaughters, Brittany (Brian) Hay of North Carolina, Andrea (Jeff) Spruill of Hillsboro and Laura (Ben) Ginter of Wilmington; nine great-grandchildren, Kaleigh and Kaden Lewis, Rowdy and Ellie Hay, Elijah, Ezekiel and Josiah Spruill and Samuel and Thaddeus Ginter; one brother-in-law, David Beoddy; one sister-in-law, Sylbia Butcher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver L. Mullikin, on Sept. 29, 2009; five brothers, Charles (Marjorie) Butcher, Raymond (Jean) Butcher, Isaac Butcher, Cary (Shelvin) Butcher and James Butcher; five sisters, Freeda (Donald) Edwards, Jane (Bill) Jarrett, Ludene (Carl) Haines, Mary Beoddy and Judith Butcher; and both parents.
 
A private graveside service will be at the convenience of the family with Pastor Jim Bush officiating at the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
