Cindy L. Orebaugh, 70, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

She was born May 11, 1954 in Greenfield, the daughter of Dale and Phyllis (Teeters) Dawes.

Cindy was a 1972 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. She loved to garden, bake and spend time with her grandchildren.

She retired from Weastec, Inc. of Hillsboro after 26 years of employment.

She is survived by her husband, James Orebaugh, whom she married June 12, 1971; one granddaughter, Bailey (Austin) Ary of Cedarville; one grandson, Joshua Robinson of Xenia; two great-granddaughters, Emie Ary and Elliott Ary; one brother, Philip (Melanie) Dawes of Greenfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Stephanie Miley.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Michaels; son-in-law, David Michaels; and both parents.

Graveside service will be Monday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Hardins Creek “Bridges” Cemetery of Leesburg with Dennis Dawes officiating.

The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
