Cindy Elaine Dent Williams

Cindy Elaine Dent Williams, 59, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 20, 2025 at her home.

She was born June 24, 1965, in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Richard Lee Williams and Cherie (Goins) Williams.

Cindy was a 1983 Hillsboro High School graduate, and she was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She worked at Candle-lite for over 25 years, where she made many friends over the years. Cindy's spirit was at its brightest when she was cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals or The Ohio State University Buckeyes football team. Cindy's passion wasn't confined to just watching sports, as she herself was quite an active person. Whether it was playing coed softball or bowling, her competitive spirit was always on full display. More than anything else, Cindy was devoted to her family. She showered her children and grandchildren with love and affection, treasuring every moment she spent with them. Though she is no longer with us, Cindy's spirit will continue to live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cindy is survived by three children, Anthony (Valerie) Beverly of Chillicothe, Autumn Beverly of Hillsboro and LaToya Williams of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Kairi Beverly, Lajayah Williams and Seryhnity Williams; siblings, Larry Cole of Wilmington, Rhonda Broady of Hillsboro, Regina Stevens of Columbus, Johnny Dent of Mississippi, Tina Captain of Leesburg, Pam Moon of Washington Court House and Theresa Elam of Lynchburg; special aunts, Stephanie Ames, Thelma (Tom) Ford, and Marilyn Jackson; special friends, Crystal Rowe and Carla Johnson; her entire bowling crew, and many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Freda and Wallace Dent; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Guyola Williams; brother, Darrell Cole; sister, Candy Dent; sister-in-law, Tonya Cole; and uncle, Robert Jackson.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home.

Burial will follow services in the Hillsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help with funeral expenses, may be made in Cindy’s name to the Turner & Son Funeral Home, P.O. Box 127, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.turnerfuneralhomes.cc.
