Charles C. Hensley

Charles C. Hensley, 65, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. 

He was born Oct. 10, 1958 in Georgetown, the son of the late Lyman Hensley and Patricia Sue (Brown) Harris. 

Charles was a 1977 Lynchburg-Clay High School graduate. He worked for 25 years at the Ohio Valley Truss Company in Hillsboro, and he was a member of the Trinity Holiness Church of God in Amelia. 

Charles adored his wife and children, and he was their hero. He will be greatly missed. 

Charles is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Betty (Brummett) Hensley, whom he married on Dec. 2, 1978; three daughters, Chrissy Hensley of Peebles, Kayla Hensley of Sardinia and Bailey Hensley of Buford; and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Charles was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Jim Harris; his father, Lyman Hensley; three siblings, Rick Hensley, Cindy Eyre and Lisa Yankie; and his mother and father-in-law, Harold and Louise Brummett. 

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Trinity Holiness Church of God, 1820 S.R. 125, Amelia. Funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the church on Dec. 6. Burial will be held in the Buford Cemetery following services. 

The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, 4623 Wesley Avenue, Suite A, Cincinnati 45212.
