Charlene Massey, (nee Drummond), 75, of Beavercreek, formerly of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Charlene was born Oct. 5, 1949, in Greenfield, to the late Charles Drummond and June (nee Judy) Drummond.
She graduated from McClain High School, class of 1967, where she was a majorette.
In Greenfield, Charlene was introduced to Frank Massey, later marrying in August 1968. They spent a beautiful 55 years together before Frank’s passing in 2023.
Charlene loved to travel, especially cruising. She poured her heart and soul into making memories, not only at the holidays, but all special occasions for her family and friends. Charlene was known and in demand for her world-famous baked beans as well. She was a strong, loving and kind soul to all, including her cats and grand-pets.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Frank Massey; sister, Judy Foster and sister-in-law, Stephanie Abshear.
She is survived by daughters, Tonya Massey and Tara Massey; brothers-in-law, Norman (Laura) Massey of Florida, and Steve (Natalia) Foster of New Carlisle. Nephews, David (Michelle) Massey and Mark (Tamara) Foster; niece, Julie (Bonny) Foster.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22 from 1-3 p.m. at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, Ohio, 45429 with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45420) or SICSA (8172 Washington Church Road , Washington Township, Ohio 45458).
