Carol Setty

Carol Setty, 84, of Hillsboro, departed peacefully on May 18, 2025. 

Carol was born on Nov. 26, 1940 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Elmer and Gladys (Capliner) Setty. 

Carol was a lifelong resident of Hillsboro, a proud graduate of Hillsboro High School. Carol was deeply involved in her community. A member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, she found joy and fellowship in sharing her faith with others. Carol was also known for her contributions as a 4H Advisor, guiding young minds in the Sewing and Cooking Club and proudly participating in the Hillsboro Livestock Club.

Perhaps one of Carol's most cherished roles was that of caregiver. She lovingly cared for her parents during their later years, exemplifying the compassion and dedication that defined her character.

Carol is survived by her dear cousin, Sandra Dameron, and friend, Mary Painter; three nephews; and one niece, who will remember her fondly, as will all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Setty.

A graveside service will be held in Carol's honor at New Market Baptist Cemetery on May 23 at 1 p.m. Brad Clouse will officiate services. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and the impact she had on those around her.
