Billie Jean Davidson, 89, of Lynchburg, passed away Sept. 7, 2024 at her home in Martinsville.

She was born Dec. 10, 1934 in Blackey, Ky., the daughter of the late Robert Everett Taylor and Carrie Sewell Taylor.

Billie was a member of Faith Baptist Church and loved to talk to people about the Lord. Her children were her biggest joy in life. Billie was crafty and liked making Christmas decorations, wreaths, cat figurines and more. She also enjoyed writing poetry.

Billie is survived by her children, Teresa (Forest) Allen of Martinsville, Kenneth Davidson of Lynchburg, Herbie (Vickie) Davidson of Martinsville and Lisa (Robert) Miller of Martinsville; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Davidson; daughters, Sandy Adams and Belinda Hickey; grandsons, Evan Allen and Shawn Adams; and siblings, Rudy Taylor, Mildred Bailey and Bill Joe Taylor.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon at Davis-Turner Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.
