Beverley Ruth (Burgess) Reeves, 96, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2025.
She was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Clinton County, the daughter of Spencer Crawford Burgess Sr. and Edna Mildred (Martin) Burgess.
Beverley was a devoted housewife for many years but also held jobs at Candle-Lite of Leesburg, Kroger, and was a member of the Hardins Creek Church. One of her proudest accomplishments was obtaining her GED from Southern State Community College later in life. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and traveling where she made many great memories.
She is survived by one daughter, Elora Faith Reeves Fleming; granddaughters, Angel (Mark) Magee, Amber Fleming; one son, David Charles (Linda) Reeves; grandchildren, Lorrie (Ryan) Russell, Brandy Burns, Danny (Amy) Reeves, Daphne (Ben) Hester, Timmy Reeves, Tammy (Josh) Caldwell, Jerry (Gilda) Reeves, Ryan (Christie) Reeves and Steven (Alex) Shaw; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; one sister, Melinda Creamer; one brother, Chuck (Debbie) Burgess; and one sister-in-law, Carol Burgess.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Reeves, on March 15, 1995; one brother, Spencer Burgess Jr.; and both parents.
Memorial service will be noon Monday, March 3 at the Highland County North Joint Fire and Ambulance (Community Room), 200 South Street, Leesburg, with Pastor Mark Magee officiating.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-noon Monday, March 3 at the Highland County North Joint Fire and Ambulance (Community Room).
