Betty Ann Burns, 59, of Lynchburg, formerly of Middletown, died peacefully Tuesday, September 22, 2009. 
She was born November 29, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry Andrew and Mary Elizabeth Chrisman Schrimper. 
Betty was a 1968 graduate of Lakota High School, attended the Faith Community Church, and was the co-founder of Four Seasons Pet Shop in Hillsboro. 
She is survived by two children, Buford Andrew Tucker of Jacksonville, Florida, and Carolyn Ruth (Keith) Bellavia of Davenport, Florida; siblings, Marion (Dennis) Hamilton of Middletown, Jean (Paul) Reed of Mason, Karen Sue (Kenneth) Dunaway of Lynchburg, Henry Andrew (Cathy) Schrimper, Jr. of Lynchburg, Michelle (Ray Benedict) Audas of Lynchburg, and John Joseph (Rebecca) Schrimper of Lynchburg; and several nieces and nephews. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Burns and nephew Gary Hardiman. 
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Burial followed in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
