Bertha L. Brooks

Bertha L. Brooks, 94, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Greenfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
 
She was born Feb. 12, 1930 in Ross County, the daughter of Crosby and Blanche (Colburn) Dennis.  

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy (Debbie) Brooks of Greenfield and Billy (Cathy) Brooks of Greenfield; one daughter, Deloris (Grover) Quigley of Greenfield; eight grandchildren, Kathy (Jerry) Stith, Lisa (Bob) Vickers, Richard (Erin) Quigley, Stephanie (Daren) Bobb, Michelle (Keith) Clouser, Makayla (Jessie) Rayl, Cassie Brooks and Noel Brooks; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and great-great great-grandchildren; three brothers, Norman (Patty) Dennis of Washington C.H., Tommy Dennis of Frankfort and Jimmy Dennis of Sabina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Brooks, on March 5, 2002; one son, James “Jimmy” Brooks; one daughter-in-law, Patti Brooks; two grandsons, Josh Brooks and Mike Brooks; six sisters, Mary Barnhart, Phyllis Cline, Brenda Thomas, Helen Mick, Dorothy Dennis and Janet Dennis; four brothers, David Dennis, Pete Dennis, Bobby Dennis and Richard Dennis; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be Monday, June 10 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Roger Newkirk officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
 
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Greenfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care they provided.
