Barphel 'Herb' L. Bartley

Barphel “Herb” L. Bartley, 84, of Leesburg, passed away Jan. 1, 2024 at his home. 

He was born Sept. 22, 1939 in Centerfield, the son of the late Herbert and Bonnie Hurless Bartley. 

Herb attended the Marshall Church of Christ. He loved to shoot pool, go fishing and play cornhole. Herb also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Carter Bartley; children, Pam (Benji) Mullenix of Hillsboro, Bart Bartley of Greenfield, Bret (Stephanie) Bartley of Leesburg, Jeff (Lisa) Bushnell of Alabama, Christina (Mike) Aeh of Bainbridge and Carla (Tyler) Wagoner of Greenfield; numerous grandchildren; special grandchildren, Michael and Emma Aeh; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie Lou Bartley of Washington Court House. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Corinne Roberts; grandson, Seth Bartley; and sister, Barbara Bey. 

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 5, 2023 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. In keeping with his wishes, Herb will be cremated following services and will be laid to rest at Cochran Cemetery at a later date.
