Barbara Jean Greene, 62, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Jan. 28, 2025 in Wilmington.

She was born Feb. 16, 1962 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late La’jean O. and Geraldine (Joiner) Ford.

Barbara’s entire life was her children and grandchildren. She would do anything to take care of her family. She also enjoyed shopping, camping, going out to eat, and watching the Cincinnati Bengals.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Carlton Greene; children, Jacklynn Watkins, Jamika (Jeremy) Wodzisz and Janelle (William Sevens) Watkins; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Kathy (Jack) Robinson and Yvonne Daring.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Loretta Hamilton, Laura Marie Ford and Robert Orris Ford.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
