Barbara J. Coyle, 76, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2025 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 3, 1948 in Blanchester, the daughter of the late Paul and Alfretta (Burroughs) Chaney.
Barbara retired as a registered nurse after many years working in health care, and was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two children, Cassie Greene of Wilmington and Seth Coyle of Lynchburg; 11 grandchildren, Caleb (Allie) Greene, Laura (Reggie) Hicks, Joseph (Savanna) Greene, Benjamin Greene, Weston Greene, Hayley Cook, Nate Coyle, Kaylee Coyle, Alex Coyle, Joshua Coyle and Isaac Coyle; four great-grandchildren, Jonah Hicks, Josiah Hicks, Luke Lamb and Michael Hicks; six siblings, Michael (Donna) Chaney, Joyce (Bill) Fuller, John (Janet) Chaney, Pam Stem, Nancy (Jeff) Bertram and David (Lori) Chaney; special family members Caleb Greene, Whitney Rineair and Grace Davila; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Coyle; her son, Ryan Coyle; and a brother, Frank Chaney.
Burial will take place at the Mowrystown Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at the Clinton County Community Action Center Building, 789 North Nelson Avenue, Wilmington.
