Anthony J. 'Tony' Younker

Anthony J. “Tony” Younker, 79, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024.

Tony was born June 30, 1944 in Sinking Spring, the son of the late Archie Gene and Ruby (White) Younker.

Tony was a member of the Dunn's Chapel Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Sinking Spring High School and a member of the former Sinking Spring Masonic Lodge (now Highland Lodge #38 F.&A.M). He was a barber in Washington C.H. for several years and retired from R+L Carriers in Wilmington. He enjoyed gardening and old westerns.

On Nov. 15, 1964, he was united in marriage to Doris L. (Fenner) Younker, who passed away on March 26, 2014. To this union they were blessed with one loving and devoted daughter, Donica (Kevin) Grow of Hillsboro; grandson, Clayton Anthony (Mariah) Collier of Hillsboro; great-granddaughter, Elloree Collier; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

Friends and family are invited to visitations Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery.
