Acel J. Mahan

Acel J. Mahan, 90, of Sinking Spring, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024.

He was born July 12, 1933 in Barbourville, Ky., the son of the late John and Martha (McCreary) Mahan. 

Acel was preceded in death by his loving wife, Katherine Mahan.

He is survived by his sons, Acel J. (Kristen) Mahan Jr. and Thomas (Diana) Mahan; stepchildren, Ernie Leach, Maudy Jackson and Ken (Barb) Seiber; grandchildren, Logan and Brooklyn Mahan; a sister, Dolly Quinn; and many other family members and friends.

Acel enjoyed working in his garden, mowing grass, hunting, fishing and sipping coffee on his porch.

Graveside services will be Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring. Friends may call from noon until time of service on Saturday at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
