Aaron Evans, 92, of Highland, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Ohio Veterans Home.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on March 7, 1917, the son of the late George and Iva (Davis) Evans.
Aaron was an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the V.F.W. Peebles Post #1029, the D.A.V. Post #71, and the American Legion Post #594.
He is survived by one son, Gary (Donna) Evans of Peebles; four daughters, Sylvia Baker of Peebles, Stella (Randy) Fristoe of Clinton, Tenn., Rae (Wes) Nichols of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Faye (Mike) Stapleton of West Union; 12 grandchildren; 14 grandchildren; and special friend Peachie Eubanks. 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Mike Bender officiating. Burial will follow in Jaybird Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
