Work continues this week on a Route 247 bridge replacement just south of Hillsboro in Liberty Township.

Crews from the Eagle Bridge Company are replacing the bridge situated over Rocky Fork Creek and located at the 11.07-mile marker on S.R. 247, approximately one mile south of Hillsboro.

Construction also includes approach work, approach slabs and guardrail.

The project began March 23, and the route is expected to be closed to traffic for up to 90 days.

Motorists are being detoured by way of S.R. 73 at Hillsboro and S.R. 785 at Belfast.

Eagle Bridge of Sidney, Ohio was awarded a contract in the amount of $1,059,456 to replace the structure, and all work is expected to be completed in early summer.
