Woman found deceased in John Street residence

The Hillsboro Police Department was called to a residence in the 200 block of John Street at approximately 8:54 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13 for a report of an unresponsive female.

A male caller said he was attempting CPR. Hillsboro Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the residence. An adult female was found upstairs with her husband. The woman was found to be deceased, according to the HPD.

Highland County Coroner Dr. Paul Terrell was contacted and arrived on scene.

Terrell determined the cause of death to be a suicide, the HPD said.

The female was a 37-year-old Hillsboro resident since November 2011.
