Winter weather advisory issued
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Feb. 11-12 for Highland and surrounding counties.
Snow is expected to begin by 5 a.m. Tuesday with total snow accumulations between 1 to 2 inches. In Adams County, the total accumulation may be 3 to 4 inches.

Tuesday – Snow, mainly after 7 a.m. High near 33. Northeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Tuesday Night – Snow likely, mainly before 11 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Northeast wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Wednesday – A slight chance of freezing rain before 10am, then rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 38. East wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no ice accumulation expected.
Wednesday Night – Rain. Low around 34. East wind 6 to 14 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday – Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35.
Thursday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 16.
Friday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 36.
