Wilmington OSHP Post investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash in Clinton County
WILMINGTON - The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a single vehicle fatal traffic crash. The crash occurred Jan. 19 just after 7 p.m., on state Route 73 near mile marker 19 in Green Township,
Clinton County.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2007 Dodge Ram, operated by Jason Brock, 36, of Hillsboro, was traveling southeast on state Route 73 when the Dodge traveled off the left side of the roadway into a ditch. The Dodge rolled several times, causing Brock to be ejected from the vehicle.
Brock was not wearing a seat belt at the time of crash. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Brock's passenger, Hunter Evans, 21, of Hillsboro, was treated for minor injuries on scene.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by Clinton County Sheriff's Office, Clinton County Coroner's Office, Clinton-Highland Joint Fire, and Maddog Towing.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wilmington Post.
