Wenstrup hosting veterans employment events
Congressman Brad Wenstrup is hosting a Veterans’ Job Fair and Congressional Field Hearing on Friday, Feb. 19 at the Anderson Township Center.
The Congressional Field Hearing, “Best Practices in Veteran Hiring,” will begin at 10 a.m. and hear from regional employers with successful hiring programs and veteran hiring specialists. Wenstrup will be joined by Congressional colleagues, including area Congressmen Steve Chabot and Luke Messer.

The Veterans’ Job Fair immediately follows the hearing, running from noon to 2 p.m. at the same location.
Both events are free and open to the public. Attendees and job seekers are encouraged to RSVP on www.wenstrup.house.gov/VetJobFair.
“Our employers in southwest Ohio are leaders in the field when it comes to hiring veterans for successful careers,” Wenstrup said, who chairs the Economic Opportunity subcommittee in the U.S. House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. “We’re not going to just talk about hiring veterans. The job fair offers a practical opportunity for area veterans to talk directly with employers.”
Over two dozen employers are expected to participate in the job fair, and employers interested in participating are encouraged to register online at www.wenstrup.house.gov/VetJobFair. Current participating employers include:
