"I love Leesburg and believe that we, as a community, have a great future ahead of us," Holliday said. "It’s important that tough issues are tackled now and that we don’t let our community’s strong foundation crumble."

Holliday said she believes that Leesburg needs to continue to provide 24-hour police coverage and that police officers need support in the battle against drugs.

"I think it’s important to live where you feel safe and as mayor I will continue to support safety services and be proactive in the fight against drug crime."

Holliday added: "Leesburg needs to continue to improve its infrastructure. We have room for business growth and opportunities which in turn will help grow our community. The citizens deserve good streets and better sidewalks. I believe that every year we should be using the allocated money for repairs and upgrades to our streets and sidewalks properly so
we can maintain what we have.

"I’m excited about the opportunities Leesburg can offer new and existing businesses. It is wonderful that we have access to a rail line and that two main routes converge in our community. In addition, we are lucky to have growth capacity in the Leesburg Industrial Park.

"I will work hard as your mayor to support the companies we have like Candle-lite and
work with the county to put new business in the industrial park. New business will mean more jobs, a better quality of life, and positive growth for Leesburg."
