On Friday, Nov. 21, the Eagles raffled off a La-Z-Boy recliner donated by Rick Pitzer of Warren Furniture.

Dan Mulvihill’s name was drawn as the winner of the recliner.

The donation helps to kick off the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1161 Past Presidents Club's Gertrude Hopkins Scholarship Fund.

Two scholarships will be given to local high school seniors. The students' parents must be members of the Eagles in order to qualify. Applications and information for the scholarships will be available April 2015 at the Eagles Lodge in Hillsboro.

Gladys Watson and the Eagles thanked Rick Pitzer and Warren Furniture for this donation.
