U.S. 62 was reopened at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after a water main break shut down the roadway for more than four hours.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, due to a water main break at the water treatment plant in Hillsboro, U.S. Route 62 was closed at the north corporation limit. Traffic is being detoured via S.R. 28 at Leesburg to S.R. 73 at New Vienna; traffic was also being detoured from S.R. 72 at Samantha to S.R. 28 (between Leesburg and Highland) to S.R. 73.
Crews worked to repair the main break through Tuesday afternoon.
